Five Ways to Free Up Space on Your Android Device

IMG_9706
Android phones and tablets can fill up quickly as you download apps, add media files like music and movies, and cache data for use offline. Many lower-end devices may only include a few gigabytes of storage, making this even more of a problem.
The less space you have, the more time you’ll have to spend micromanaging the internal storage. If you find yourself regularly running out of space and needing to manage it, consider getting a phone or tablet with more storage next time around.

Encrypt Your PC, Phone, and Tablet Now. You’ll Regret It Later If You Don’t

Imagine you go on your dream vacation and all your things are stolen after your hotel room is burgled or your car is broken into. Clothes and toothbrushes are easy to replace, but your devices are a potential treasure trove for thieves to exploit.

How to Create an Image of Your PC Before Upgrading to Windows 10

Windows 10 is the biggest and most aggressive Windows rollout to date. Before you take the plunge you need to image your hard drive so, should you wish to return to the familiarity of Windows 7 or Windows 8 you can do so with the click of a button.
Note: This tutorial details how to create a bit-for-bit backup (a disk image) of your current Windows system disk so that you can later restore your computer using that image. If that’s not what you’re looking for and you’d like to actually copy your disk bit-for-bit over to a brand new hard disk (a disk clone) we’d encourage you to check out our detailed tutorial on the matter.

Why can Data be Recovered After Formatting?

Someone once asked, "If a quick format just marks bits as writable and a normal format writes zeroes to the entire disk, why do people bother with DBAN and why are multiple passes ever required? Why can data be recovered after formatting?

Recover Missing Or Unallocated Space on USB Drive Using Windows Diskpart Commands

If you’ve ever tried to burn an ISO image on your USB drive, you might end up with some missing or unallocated space on your removable USB drive.
Some other day, I was preparing a Linux Live USB disk from the Linux terminal. I burnt the image on my USB and converted it into a live USB disk successfully. That is not what I am going to discuss here. However, when I checked the remaining volume of my 4 GB pen drive, I was stunned – only 752 MB out of 753 was free.

What is the System Reserved Partition and Can You Delete It?

windows-system-reserved-partition
Windows 7 and 8 create a special “System Reserved” partition when you install them on a clean disk. Windows doesn’t assign a drive letter to these partitions, so you’ll only see them when you use Disk Management or similar utility.
The System Reserved Partition was introduced with Windows 7, so you won’t find it on previous versions of Windows. The partition is also created on Windows Serer 2008 R2 and newer Server versions of Windows.
