Connect Computer to RouterThe first thing you'll need to do is connect your computer to your router through an ethernet cable. This will allow a direct connection to your router for collecting its data.
Internet Settings on Your ComputerOnce you're connected, jump onto your Mac and perform the following steps: navigate your mouse to the top left corner of your screen and click on the Apple icon. From here, click on the "System Preferences" option.
Next, click on the "Network" icon located under the "Internet & Wireless" section of the menu. On the left side, you'll see a list of connectivity devices to choose from. Click on the "Ethernet" option.
Locating the Router's IP AddressInformation on this connectivity will pop up to the right. Here you will find an "IP Address" section and your IP address listed right next to it. Keep this number in mind and navigate over to your web browser.
Type your IP address into the address bar and push enter. A login window will appear for you to connect to your router as an administrator.
